“Dear old world, she murmured, you are lovely and I am glad to be alive in you.” L.M

Hello

I’ m A m y ,

The heart and soul behind Blossom & Root Design Flower Farm. What had started as a love for my dad’s flower beds, grew into a passion for sharing locally grown flowers with my community. I believe flowers have a way of slowing us down, connecting us to the seasons, and bringing a little more joy into everyday life.

On the farm I grow a variety of seasonal blooms starting with ranunculus and tulips in the spring, followed with a summer filled of zinnias (the cute kind), snapdragons, celosia, cosmos, marigolds, etc, ending with the bang of all our favorite and long awaited fall blooms; DAHLIAS, lisianthus, asters, amaranth, heirloom chrysanthemums, and much more! we hope that every bouquet that leaves our farm spreads just a little bit more happiness to our community!

When I am not working with the flowers I am most likely dreaming about adding more perennial beds to my small plot, or trying to figure out how to do another interior home remodel. But most likely I am just trying to keep up with everyday things like laundry, cooking, cleaning, baking, canning, or hitting the gym to lift some weights.

XOXO; Amy K.

Meet Prince

Prince has been my faithful sidekick since day one of my business adventure. You will often find him laying on the outside of the garden border waiting on me to finish my work for the day so that he can go find his comfy bed. But he is so much more than just my garden guard dog, he has been a family pet for 13+ years and is always so excited to spend time with us. If you ever make it out to the farm be sure to tell him hello.

Edited: Prince passed away on September 21,2024. In honor of his passing you will now see his pretty little face on my business stickers.
